Here’s a selection of images from Julie and Alex’s recent Volterra wedding.
Julie and Alex wanted a long, relaxed wedding week, and the wedding day divided into separate emotions, moods and styles.
The overall theme for the wedding took it’s color guide from China blue tones.
In the mid afternoon, the family held a symbolic blessing ceremony in the gardens of the villa, Julie and Alex sharing personal vows, and listening to readings written by their closest friends for the event.. Music for both ceremonies was supplied by a string quartet.
A formal seated meal, featuring the best cuisine Tuscan has to offer followed in the main hall of the villa.
The remaining part of the day was a more relaxed, fun and light hearted affair: the party moved to the pool area, where a surprise cake tent was waiting for the guests, with individually made and labeled cake jars for the wedding cake. Dancing into the setting sun and night, and a full Tuscan barbecue that reached even the Australian guest’s high standards went on into the night.
