Jen and Nick had a larger wedding party, and the beauty and formality of a lovely group of bridesmaids and groomsmen is a wonderful thing for a castle blessing, and any ceremony with a symmetric, important ceremony setting.
The blessing was held in September – a month that some couples consider late in the year for a wedding al fresco, but generally is warm and more often than not pleasant and dry. A large part of our work at Italyweddings – as any of the couples we have assisted will tell you – is making sure there is a good weather and poor weather plan. The famous Plan B.
For us, finding the right compromise for every couple is a personal mission. While we have years of experience with the weather in Italy, we need to balance the capacity of the venue, the size of the wedding party, the spaces available for all parts of the day – and find the right compromise that fits the couples dreams and budget.
For Jen and Nick, the choice was eating the meal in the tented area at the back of the castle, leaving the gardens free for the blessing, for the surprise fireworks a the end of the night, and courtyard spaces for bar and dancing after dinner.
