ABOUT THIS EVENT
Kaila and Michael celebrated in style and with the best of Tuscany, for their Roman Catholic wedding in May, in Florence.
They brought 170 guests from the Philippines to celebrate with them in Italy, which is a challenge on its own – and they entrusted Italyweddings to arrange an elegant and exclusive event in keeping with the important dignitaries present at the wedding.
The Catholic ceremony was held at the Church of Ognissanti, in the heart of Florence and along the Arno river. The wedding party prepared at a top hotel just a walk across the square from the church, and with the incredible floral design of Le Petit Jardin, captured by the stylish contemporary photography of Oly Ruiz, the ceremony was an elevated and moving experience.
The couple proceeded to the high renaissance Villa Corsini Mezzomonte in a cream-colored vintage Morgan 4/4, where they rejointed guests for cocktails in the formal Italian gardens.
The meal was situation in the main hall of the villa on two long parallel tables, decorated at table lever with white and pink open roses and hydrangeas, mixed with endless glass candelabras and stick candles, while above the table, clouds of gypsophila and hydrangeas filled the high spaces of the room. The meal was a flow of speeches and songs, and the best Florentine cuisine, finished with surprise fireworks in the formal gardens at cake cutting
The guests partied on until 3 in the morning with a dedicated bar of the couple’s two favorite drinks: Macallan 18 year old Sherry oak, and Tequila Don Julio Blanco.
