Tatiana and Arash held a Jewish blessing on site at the wonderful Villa di Maiano – just a few miles outside the city of Florence. The magnificent terrace of the villa gardens overlooks the city, and at night, it’s unparalleled setting for a wedding event. Cool and breezy in the evening, with a late sunset from it’s elevated setting, the villa is a true jewel location.
The couple opted to hold the blessing in the more contained walled lower garden, and Marisa from Le Petit Jardin arranged the traditional chuppah, including an abundance of orchids in bride’s color scheme, and a mix of the traditional white cover, and a special piece of material from the bride’s own family tradition.
The guests moved to the upper gardens for aperitifs – and the lawns were given a more comfortable setting, with a number of lounge corners, and, and the sun set, dozens of silver lanterns to light the walkways.
A live band played through the meal Italian and American classics and a number of Jewish tradition songs. Later, after the meal, the group moved into the villa for a more uptempo DJ set.
The cake was a modern interpretation, based on an image provided by the bride, and traditional Italian ingredients.
