Xenia and Daniel held a charming, intimate civil wedding in the grounds of this amazing short stay Borgo, in Umbria. The villa, not for from the medieval hilltop town of Perugia, was home to the couple for their stay. For a smaller group such as this, all guests can stay on site, so other activities such as a Pizza Night (the borgo has it’s own pizza oven) or a pool hang out, or a recover brunch, are all things you can do directly at the location.
The colors of Umbria in the summer are olive greens and earth tones, and matched the soft palette the couple selected for the flowers, the table design and the wedding attire.
But although the images here make this look like a completely “curated” event, the couple made a few statigic choices on lighting and timing of the day, and attire for the guests, and a theme for the florist – but the rest of the day was as relaxed, intimate, fun and friendly as you could wish for, and there was no sense of formality or heavy structure to the whole day. Just good food and wine, good friendship, fun music and a long warm Italian summer night…
